Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving

In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
